Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Harsvardhan is a distinguished medical professional and a widely acclaimed consultant in hospital administration with a formidable array of qualifications and achievements. After having graduated in medicine and being a topper in MBBS, he obtained MD in Hospital Administration from AIIMS, New Delhi; he also has to his credit DNB, MPH, LLB, PhD, MNAMS, DMLE, DGM and PGDHA. He is an erudite scholar and a dedicated administrator.

As the Medical Superintendent of Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, as esteemed faculty of the Department of Hospital Administration, and as Additional Medical Superintendent of the Apex Trauma Centre at SGPGIMS, he is playing a pivotal role in shaping Healthcare Administration and Trauma Care. His leadership in the domain of Quality as Sub Dean – Quality at SGPGIMS further emphasises his commitment to ensuring and enhancing the quality of healthcare services, where he is involved in developing and implementing strategies to monitor, assess, and improve the overall quality and standards of healthcare delivery within the institution as well as in the state.

Driven by passion and being a humanitarian, he serves as the Joint Director of the State Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation, U.P., under the MoHFW, Government of India, and also as the Associate Director of UPCRAM, under DoHE, Govt. of UP, contributing significantly to medical and higher education and accreditation in the state of UP.

Dr. Rajesh Harsvardhan’s multifaceted expertise and leadership position him as a transformative figure in the realm of Healthcare, Administration, and Medical Education in the State of Uttar Pradesh. He has a passion for writing on contemporary issues, and poetry especially. He has been awarded by the Govt. of India, Govt. of Delhi, Govt. of UP and many other bodies for his professional contributions. He has authored a few books and contributed chapters to many books, apart from having close to 100 scientific publications. He has also served as Medical Superintendent & Executive Registrar at Kalyan Singh Superspecialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow. He is Chairman of the Indian Academy of Mind Body Medicine.
